Our Story
StackMotive wasn't built in a boardroom. It was built out of frustration.

Andy already knew this, in the way most people know it, as background noise, as something vaguely unfair. What Pal gave him was the mechanism. Currency debasement. The silent, structural erosion of purchasing power that makes a 10% investment return feel like progress while actually delivering 3% in real terms (or less). A system that rewards asset holders and slowly, quietly, dispossesses everyone who hasn't already accumulated wealth.

Demographics are collapsing. The younger generation is being locked out, not through laziness or poor choices, but through arithmetic.
The game was changed, and nobody told them.

That insight became The Sovereign Signal, a macro finance newsletter, and something Andy considers a lone voice for the generations being left behind. It exists to name what is happening, explain why, and give people the tools to navigate it.

And it deepened the mission of StackMotive beyond a trading platform into something more fundamental: financial sovereignty for people the system was never designed to serve.

After returning from New York, Andy Boss found himself doing what most intelligent, financially aware people do when they decide to take control of their own wealth: he started investing.
​
And then he started making the mistakes that nearly every retail investor makes.
​
Convicted on a position, he'd sell too early, then watch the price run. He'd buy back in at the top. Over six months of this, he calculated what he'd left on the table. The number was somewhere around $300,000.
​
It wasn't a lack of intelligence. It wasn't a lack of conviction. It was a lack of data.
He started researching, indicators, dark pools, institutional flow, macro signals, and quickly discovered that the information he needed to trade properly existed. It was just locked behind the kind of institutional data subscriptions that cost $20,000 to $50,000 a year.
So he built it himself.
That process coincided with something else. In early 2025, Andy watched a podcast between Steven Bartlett and Raoul Pal on The Diary of a CEO, that reframed everything he thought he already understood.

Pal described it simply: in 1980s London, you could buy the average house on average wages at a multiple of around 3x. Today that multiple is 8 or 9x in the UK. In Auckland, it's 12x.
